From the Editor…Tom - Our Superman!! Tom Loria at 84 years young is our “Need A Hand” Superman. Tom has been an integral part of the CEO group for many years. He is a part of our CEO family and we all absolutely adore him. Most of you at some time during your stay at CEO would have encountered or seen Tom as he has wandered through the corridor either fixing furniture or equipment, changing light globes, painting the odd wall, moving huge amounts of furniture from office to office or lugging this to his trailer to drive it to another centre where the item is required.

Drive? Yes, drive. At 84 years of age Tom is one of the best drivers you can encounter on the roads often either driving a huge furniture removal van or pulling a trailer behind his car. There is no exaggeration when we say he can literally “lift” a desk on his own, with his two bare hands (whilst the rest of us struggle to lift it together) and he can move this with the greatest of ease through the smallest of doorways whilst we all watch on in wonderment at his strength and agility. There is no exaggeration when we at CEO refer to Tom as our SUPERMAN.

Wouldn’t we all want to be like Tom when we turn 84? Tom’s enormous sense of humour his healthy diet of chocolate biscuits and his work ethic has obviously kept this young man so young. Tom, you don’t look a day over 30 and please accept our apologies (although a few years late) for throwing you a surprise birthday party a few years ago for your 80th birthday when in fact you had just turned 75!!!. We will never forget the look on your face when you walked in and saw balloons and banners saying “HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY TOM”, we wondered why your face fell, we found out later you had only just turned 75 years old, oops!

Tom, here’s wishing you many more happy and healthy years here at CEO!
